Accessibility Statement
Atlantic Smiles Dental LLC is committed to making our services, including this website, usable by everyone — including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech input, or who cannot use a mouse.
Standards we aim to meet
This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard commonly used to assess compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We test the site at mobile and desktop sizes and check keyboard navigation, colour contrast and text resizing.
What we have implemented
- Semantic headings and landmarks, and a "skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Text that can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Body text and headings that scale with the screen size rather than being fixed to a pixel value.
- Colour combinations chosen to meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and empty alternative text for decorative ones.
- Form fields with visible labels, a visible keyboard focus ring, and error or status messages announced to assistive technology.
- Full keyboard operation — no part of the site requires a mouse.
- Links that make sense out of context rather than "click here".
Known limitations
We review the site regularly, but some content supplied by third parties, and some older documents, may not yet meet every criterion. If you meet a barrier we have missed, we want to know about it.
Non-digital alternatives
Everything on this website can be provided another way. If a form or a document is not usable for you:
- Call the office on (323) 554-0072 and we will take your details over the telephone.
- Email atlantic@atlanticsmilesdental.net and we will send the information in a format that works for you.
- Come in and we will go through any of it with you in person.
Assistance at the practice
Our entrance is at ground level with no steps. Tell us when you book if you need extra time, a quieter appointment slot, a written rather than spoken explanation, or help getting from your car to the treatment room. We also speak English and Spanish.

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you would like information in another format, please contact us and tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to respond within two business days, and we treat accessibility reports as a priority for fixing.
